Work to Weekend Styling

Valentine’s day calls for content shoots and date night! One of my photographer partners, and close friend, Claire Marchand, and I had a little fun this week with romantic meets edgy styles to prep for all the love day celebrations. Claire and I planned on a quick content shoot but ended up getting a little carried away with it… per usual. We popped open a bottle of wine and within minutes my closet was disheveled with set building and styling. On top of that, we realized we needed better lighting. Like a true photography magician Claire improvised and used a construction halogen lamp (side note, it did the job just fine, who would’ve thought!?). And I absolutely love the way everything came together for some awesome Valentine’s day content.

Here’s what I wore for my V-day shoot and out for a Galentine’s get together after work:

  • A pink ribbed crop sweater from To Me Collective

  • Falling for you pants from Cotton Candy LA that I found at my favorite, local boutique, Rochelle’s Boutique

  • Fab booties from Marc Fisher LTD

  • Heart Earrings from Target

After having some fun in the studio, the weekend finally came! My husband and I went out for Valentine’s day dinner on Saturday night. For being February, it was surprisingly warm out! So I went with one of my favorite looks, faux leather pants, and a cozy sweater. I’ve been able to style these pants for a bunch of different events and activities over the past few weeks. I’ve worn them to work and even styled them with a cropped turtle neck and suede heels for another night out. You can even substitute the heels for booties on chillier nights. These pants give every look a little more edge, while the slits on the sweater create a figure-flattering style! What did you wear for Valentine’s day?
